Sleigh Rides at Sand Harbor State Park - OPEN!
The snow that Mother Nature has gifted us for Christmas has transformed Sand Harbor into a Holiday Winter Wonderland! Sand Harbor State Parks offers a spectacular 1 hour narrated tour with stories, songs & poems. The custom built Santa type Sleighs are pulled by 2,000+ lbs Belgian Draft-horses that love the guests affections, pets & tasty treats!
Located only 20 mile (apx 30-45 minute drive) from South Lake Tahoe on State Hwy 28, 3 miles South of Incline Village, Nevada. The sleighs will be waiting at the Visitor's Center through the Main Entrance of the state park.
Rides will be available today, 10am - 4pm, for our lucky Reservation Holders, as well as, any last minute visitors wanting a 1 hour narrated tour in a horse drawn Santa type sleigh.
Our sleighs will remain on wheels today to offer a smooth ride over paved pathways that accent the beautifully scenery of this amazing Nevada State Park.
A 1 hour ride is: $50 per Adults; $45 for youth 11yrs - 17yrs; $20 for Children 2-10 yrs and under 2 are always free. Ask about our discounts for Seniors, College Student, Military and Nice people bearing gifts. (the horses do love carrots!)
Unfortunately, the South Lake Tahoe Sleigh Ride location has not yet open for the season, and the carriages in South Lake Tahoe will also be closed.
